How to earn miles
MileagePlus® members can earn award miles and Premier® qualifying credits (PQP and PQF) on eligible SWISS flights. Add your MileagePlus number to your reservation, and make sure it’s on your boarding pass at check-in.

Award flights and upgrades
You can use miles to book regular award flights on SWISS online or by calling our reservations line. There may be service charges depending on the type of ticket, travel dates and your MileagePlus status. You can also use miles to upgrade your ticket with Star Alliance Upgrade Awards. Award tickets cannot be issued at the airport.
Members with Premier status flying on SWISS will also get Star Alliance Gold or Silver benefits.
Premier benefits on SWISS
- Premier members can earn Premier Bonus award miles.
- Premier members will get Star Alliance Gold or Silver benefits.
- Premier Silver members can use Business check-in and check a standard bag for free7,8 when traveling in Economy.

- SWISS flight numbers LX 8000 through 8499 are operated by Edelweiss Air. These flights will earn miles at the Edelweiss Air accrual table.
- SWISS may have different rules for carry-on bags. Make sure to check their policy before you get to the airport.
- If you have a first class ticket, you can access the United Club locations at your departure airport.
- Your passport and visa will be checked at your first point of entry after leaving the U.S. Make sure you have all your travel documents ready and signed.
