

Signing in to your account
Use this information to help with signing in to your MileagePlus® account or resetting your password.
How to sign in
To sign in to your account on united.com or the United app, you must follow these steps:
Enter your MileagePlus number.
Enter your secure password.
Enter the six-digit OTP (one-time passcode) we send to your verified email or phone number.
If you forget your MileagePlus number you can use your email to help you find it. You can also reset your password.

Account authentication
To access your MileagePlus account, there is a two-step verification process. You must sign in with your password and then use an OTP (one-time passcode). We will send the OTP to your verified email or phone, but it can also be sent through the United app for easy access.

Account lockout
If you are accidentally locked out of your account, you can do one of three things:
- Use the link sent to your verified email.
- Reset your password with the code sent to your verified phone or email.
- Call the MileagePlus Service Center.

Updating your verified email or phone number:

Primary account
After signing in, go to the profile section of My United and select the email or mobile phone number you would like to make ‘primary’ on your account.

Verify
After selecting “verify,” check your email or mobile phone for the verification link. Once your email or phone is verified, you'll start receiving OTP instead of a link.

Confirm
Use the link to confirm.
