United Aviate Academy: At United’s wholly owned flight school in Phoenix, Arizona, students will earn seven certificates and ratings at the state-of-the-art facility while training on technologically advanced Cirrus aircraft. Once students obtain their Private Pilot Certificate, they will become eligible to participate in the Aviate program.
Aviate Program: Aviate is United’s pilot career development program that boasts a network of 34+ partners across the country. For those with their Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating and building experience at one of our Aviate partners, feel secure knowing your First Officer position with United is waiting for you. First Officer: United is the premier airline choice for pilots looking to take the next step in their career. For those pilots with an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, apply as a United First Officer.
United Military Pilot Program: United provides a stabilized approach for active-duty military pilots to become United First Officers after their service, including full-time active-duty members of the Armed forces of the United States and active reserves currently serving as TAR, FTS, or AGR on reserve status. Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is not required to apply; you will be required to meet our transition requirements before starting at United.
*“Active reserves” refers to Navy Training and Admin Reserve (TAR), Marine Full Time Support (FTS), and Army and Air Force Active Guard Reserve (AGR).
